We didn't get to finish the job due to a series of equipment failures.

So to anyone reading this, please get your deal in writing, BEFORE paying for it and DONT just take their word, as it wont be honored.

There are many cheaper more personable companies to rent from with better more maintained equipment.

First day we got a flat tire. Ok.. not sure how we got a flat driving in the richest soil I have ever seen.. but so be it we will take the penalty for that. We paid to get a new tire. 5 minutes after driving on the "new" tire we just paid for, it goes flat again. After speaking to multiple employees I got the answer of oh well it is possible that they can mistakenly grab a bad tire from the back and put it on instead.. wow!after everything was said and done I got a call saying that we damaged all the tires and now we have to pay for them all. I tried telling the guy the whole story and how there was a series of equipment failures but he didn't care nor did he even want to hear what I had to say. I'll send you the invoice is what he kept saying.

Worst rental place ever. I am a g.c came in looking for laser level.rented it and got on job site with it. Not calibrated and level bubble was broken. Bring it back and guy at counter says take this paper up front she will take care of it. Fine. As I'm leaving the guy behind me is complaining about his hammer drill not working. Lady up fronts first words to me are I am having a crappy day. She then charges me for the rental, when I ask why and explain she says don't ask me it's the guy in the backs contract.REALLY!

The delivery drivers were good guys though. They were understandable about everything. It didn't make sense to them either how we could get flat tires in this soil.

When I needed a forklift in a pinch VHR came thru fast and professional Thanks again for the super service

I called their Voorhees Office and they sent a Tec out. He just said i didnt have the right settings on , but he found it difficult to start and spent some time working on it. He changed a battery terminal and said its fixed, but it continued having starting problems after he left. I decided i cant afford to lose any more 'down-time' ( as i already lost half of Sat and now half of Sun. ) and decided to just be patient with the difficult starts, constantly getting the machine stuck and managed to finish in 4 days, despite all the problems with the poorly working machine.

It was more than i expected, but i was still willing to pay that price to do my entire job. So this was Sat. morning @ 8am and we were told it would be delivered by 10am. The lift didnt arrive until 12:51.

Over Priced and Dishonest - I rented a 40' self-propelled lift (advertised @$800 wk) to cut branches overhanging my house. There were a lot that needed cutting and i would also need a wood chipper (also advertised @$800wk). I asked if i could "trade-in" the cherry-picker for a chipper for the last 2 days, as i didnt need the lift for the entire week.

I was told by Matt (salesman) , "sure, we would just need to change the paperwork ." So i said ok, $800 is a great price for this job. He then told me it will be $1200, because they couldnt let me tow it myself, they had to deliver it and a charge is added for that, along with "other" charges, like $45 for 10 gallons of gas, Damage waiver and a $100 deposit, plus tax....total $1215.94

I'm a contractor using tool rental on frequent bases. VHR is absolutely top notch business partner, very responsive, cooperative and willing to go extra mile to save a day. Very professional and helpful stuff, both on rental and hardware side. Great selection of tool and equipment to rent at competitive, market prices and 2 locations almost guarantee availability. And anything I might run short of on the project, I will always find on shelves at the store. Highly recommend to both contractors and homeowners in need of professional, high quality service.

My company rented a bobcat, a stump grinder and a 6"chipper from these guys for a week to grade out a property and move cut trees. The bobcat had 4 severely used tires to start. I didn't think that would be an issue just figured it was used rental equipment.. The stump grinders teeth were about as sharp as a nickel.. and the brand new chipper with 21 hours on it shut down a few hours into using it because there was no oil in it. I think it is safe to say that they don't regularly maintain there equipment if at all.

I am a construction company with an angles list a+ rating especially in customer service. Surprised they have made it this far with there take on customer service. WILL NEVE DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU WON BE HAPPY HERE!

Ok, i thought, i can still cut some when it cools off a bit, as it was over 90 degrees with high humidity. Its the last week of July and a heat wave all week. I soon found out the machine had issues. First it took many tries before it would even start. Next problem was it getting stuck on fairly even, dry ground. It has many settings ,but didnt always work, but you need patience with it. Sunday morning i had issues with the machine starting, getting stuck up 10ft because the hydraulics wasn't working properly.

Don't rent from these guys!!!!

So i called them and told them i'm done with the lift and ready for the chipper. I was told they couldnt make the exchange as promised......unless i paid an additional fee. So i figured another delivery charge and asked how much. Matt told me it will be $800 and i nearly fell over. For 2 days its going to cost $800?!?1?!? I asked why he wasnt honoring his word, as i only took this rental at the agreed price because the chipper would be included. I was simply told his superviser said no. I then called The Voorhees store asking for a supervisor and got the 'BS" treatment, telling me they cant honor the agreement, since Matt was not authorized to make it and its against company policy to make such deals. I was told a "bs story" about trading a $60,000 machine for a $30,000, as if it was supposed to mean something to me. The machines are only valued between $15,000 and $6,000 .....and thats according to their "used equipment" sales dept., so i dont know what he was trying to convince me of.
